The British judiciary has approved the legality of considering a lawsuit demanding the cessation of the sale of British arms to Saudi Arabia for its ongoing crimes against civilians in Yemen.
Reports from London said the British judge agreed on Friday to consider demands requesting the cessation of the Supreme Court last year’s rule, which allowed the British government to sell arms to Saudi Arabia.

The judge attributed his decision to the humanitarian violations caused by the British weapons used in the aggression against Yemen, whereas it has left countless humanitarian losses.

The British court ruled that activists have the right to stop Britain’s arms sale to Saudi Arabia due to the possibility of using them in the Yemeni conflict. Consequently, the court is due to hear the activists’ appeal in the coming period.

Andrew Smith, a member of the campaign, said he believed the sale of arms conducted by the queen was immoral. “The Saudi-led bombing in Yemen has killed thousands of people and caused one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world,” he said in a statement after the verdict.
