Kidney Friends Association Threatened with Closure, Appeals for Immediate Support

The Association of Kidney Friends in Saada Governorate has launched a call for relief for kidney failure patients in Saada Governorate.

The Deputy Director of the Association, Mohamed Ahsan Adlan, appealed to the Ministry of Health, international and local organizations to provide assistance to the dialysis center, which is about to stop operating due to lack of medical services.

Adlan said that the association has been unable to continue to provide services to dialysis patients for financial reasons due to the cessation of salary payments, a consequence of Saudi economic war against Yemen, which is the main backbone of the association.

It is worth noting that the center is the sole one in the province and receives more than 170 cases a week between dialysis and follow-up appointments from several governorates, including Saada, Hajja, Amran, Hodeidah and Jawf.
