The US-backed Saudi crime against the fishermen of Yemen, in the island of Badid, district of al-Lahiah in Hodeidah province that claimed the lives and injured more than fifteen fishermen has witnessed widespread condemnations on the Yemeni arena.

Yemen’s Ministry of Public Health and Population condemned the crime committed by the warplanes of the Saudi coalition against the fishermen in the north of the island of Badid in the province of Hodeidah, which resulted in killing eight fishermen.

The ministry said in a statement that this crime is an extension of the series of crimes committed by the coalition of aggression against the Yemeni people for nearly four years.

The ministry charged the US-Saudi aggressive coalition with responsibility for this crime and the ones that before. The ministry called on the international community to investigate and criminalize the leaders of the coalition and those who are proven to be involved in such crimes.

The local authority of Hodeidah condemned the crime, pointing out in a statement that the continued aggression on Yemen by targeting and killing innocent people in the presence of the UN committee to monitor the implementation of the Swedish agreement is clear evidence of its intention to thwart the agreement.

The General Authority for Fisheries in the Red Sea condemned the crime committed by jets affiliated with the Saudi-led coalition against the fishermen in the island of Badid, district of al-Lahiah in Hodeidah.

The authority considered this Saudi crime to be a continuation of the series of humanitarian crimes committed by the aggressive coalition against the Yemeni people for nearly four years in flagrant violation of international norms, charters and laws.

Moreover, the Human Rights and Development Center condemned the crime that was implemented by the Saudi-led aggression against fishermen in the north of the island of Badid in Hodeidah province, which killed eight men who were fishing.

The center said in a statement that the crime was a grave violation of international human rights law and international humanitarian law, which criminalizes attacks on civilians or targeting them. The center pointed out that this crime is an extension of the series of crimes committed by the coalition of aggression against the Yemeni people.

The Center for Humanity held the Saudi-led coalition the responsibility for this crime and the ones before it, calling for an investigation and criminal accountability of the coalition leaders and all those who were proved to be involved in these crimes.
