The Joint Meeting Parties (JMPs) demanded on Thursday the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, to stop the Saudi aggression war and lift the air, land and sea siege on Yemen.
In a letter to the UN Secretary-General, the JMPs (Al-Haq Party, the Popular Forces Union Party and the Arab Socialist Baath Party – Yemen Branch) called for changing the UN envoy to Yemen, Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, and appointing instead of him a neutral international character with capacity and efficiency to work on the political and security sides together.
The JMPs’ letter stressed the need for the reinstatement of political negotiations through sponsoring a comprehensive national dialogue between the various local political forces and components under the UN auspices and based on the outcome of the dialogues that followed the resignation of Hadi in January, February and March 2015.
