Since the beginning of this year, 15 death cases have been recorded due to kidney failure in Zabid district, Hudayda governorate, as a result of the lack of solutions and medicines for patients for the Saudi-led coalition continues to impose an air, sea and land blockade on Yemen.

Yemeni Arabic-speaking channel, Almasirah, visited a kidney dialysis center in Zabid, southern Hudayda Governorate. The channel stated that a large number of patients are waiting on the list of the weekly dialysis sessions, which only extend for 3 hours, while an average renal failure patient requires two weekly sessions with each one lasting for four hours in order to properly clear the toxins in the body.

Moreover, the Center receives more than 180 cases of renal failure patients per week, and is unable to treat them and eliminate all the toxins associated with their bodies. Consequently, the numerous victims are exhausted by the pain due to the acute shortage of pharmaceutical solutions and the absence of many medicines.

The lack of treatment for patients with renal failure resulted in the deaths of dozens of patients in the mentioned district and hundreds of others in the rest of the Republic of Yemen.
