Yemeni Foreign Ministry on Wednesday rejected the UN Secretary-General comments on Wednesday on what it called a “generous pledge” by Saudi Arabia and the UAE to help Yemen. The Secretary-General of the United Nations yesterday in his meeting with the Saudi criminal Mohammed bin Salman, expressed his deep gratitude to fulfill the generous pledge announced by Saudi Arabia and the UAE in January on provision 930 million dollars to fund the humanitarian work in Yemen.
A source in the Foreign Ministry said in a statement quoted by the Yemeni news agency (Saba) that the humanitarian situation in Yemen made by aggression of Saudi Arabia and the UAE and those who support them, calling at the same time not to cover the crimes of the US-Saudi aggression by symbolic financial donations.
The source called on the United Nations not to fall into the trap of the so-called humanitarian donations of the two countries of aggression, which do not constitute any value compared to civilians’ killing, especially women, children and the elderly, in addition to destroying all the life economic and infrastructure of the Yemeni people.
“The world is looking for bases and exits for peace for the Yemeni people benefit and not for donations, some are trying to cover the course of events in Yemen and buy the world conscience under the umbrella of humanitarian aids.
