Yemen’s Socotra Island governor condemns UAE occupation, plunder

Socotra governor, Hashim Saad al-Saqatri, denounced violations conducted by the UAE forces in Yemen’s Socotra island, in a statement obtained by the Yemeni news agency SABA.
In the statement, the governor said that the act of sending UAE occupational troops to the Socotra archipelago represents a scandalous violation of Yemeni sovereignty, affairs and international conventions.
The governor called on international organizations, especially UNESCO, to carry their duty and responsibilities and preserve the World Heritage in the province for the UAE has been looting perennial and rare trees, birds and coral stones.
