Health minister says Saudi blockade puts Yemen’s dialysis centers at extreme danger

Minister of Health, Taha al-Mutawakil, warned on Wednesday of a humanitarian disaster in dialysis centers across Yemen, which have taken place due to the imposed US-backed Saudi siege on all Yemen’s air, sea and land ports since March 2015.
Al-Mutawakil said in a statement that the coalition’s military escalation and siege have doubled the suffering of the patients at the dialysis centers in the capital Sana’a and other cities, which struggle with an acute shortage of medical solutions and few operating devices.
The minister urged humanitarian organizations to provide humanitarian assistance in order to avoid a real catastrophe.
