Saudi Arabia had been on secret meetings with Israel under a European mediator to discuss a buy and sell arms contract worth $250 million for Israeli advanced spy systems.

Secret meetings were held in Washington and London between Saudi Arabia and Israeli officials through a European mediator, according to an Israeli official source, discussing an arms deal valued to be about $250 million dollars, for transferring sophisticated spy systems to Saudi Arabia.

“Some of the spy systems, which are the most sophisticated systems Israel has ever sold to any Arab country, have already been transferred to Saudi Arabia and put into use after a Saudi technical team received training in operating them,” the Post said.

During the meeting, various military information was exchanged between the two sides. Additionally, the deal included the agreement between both sides on military corporations, according to the report.

This kind of deal was not the first of its kind between the two countries, where Israel has previously sold the Iron Dome missile system under US mediation after secret meetings were held in Washington to disuss the deal, according to Al-Khaleej UAE news website.

It is widely known that there no diplomatic relations between both countries, but it strongly believed that both regimes are working privately together. Many official reports have noted that Saudi Arabia is reaching for formal liaisons with Israel.

After the killing of the Saudi journalist, Jamal Khashoggi, at the Saudi consulate located in Istanbul, Israeli high officials went to visit many Arab countries, under society outrage from the formal visits of Israelis into their countries.

On Saturday, Arabians within the middle east were angered as they found out of the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, secret visit along with a delegation of Israeli officials to Oman in a meeting with the Sultan of Oman, Qaboos bin Said al Said, alongside sultanate’s leaders.

Israeli intelligence minister Yisrael Katz’s office said on Sunday that he will go on a visit to Oman next week, while Israel’s television broadcast images of the regime’s sports minister Miri Regev in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi attending a tournament.

Meanwhile, an Israeli sports delegation was in Qatar for the beginning of the world gymnastics championships being held in Doha.

Israeli communications minister Ayoob Kara’s office said he will travel to Dubai on Monday to represent Israel at an international internet security conference.
