Acting Defense Minister Meets Russian Ambassador in Sana’a

The acting Minister of Defense and Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Hussein Naji Khairan met today Tuesday in the capital city, Sana’a, the charge de affairs of the Russian Embassy to Yemen, Andre Chernfall, where they discussed during the meeting the relations of cooperation between the two countries, including the aspects of cooperation between the two military forces. They also discussed a number of issues of common concern.
Moreover, the Acting Minister of Defense confirmed the readiness to facilitate the tasks of the charge de affairs of the Russian embassy in order to strengthen and expand the cooperation between Yemen and Russia’s relations, expressing the appreciation of the Yemeni command and people for the supporting stances taken by Russia in order to cease the war waged by the US-backed Saudi coalition on Yemen, lift up the imposed siege and promote security and stability in Yemen.
Charge de affairs of the Russian confirmed its firm and permanent stance with Yemen and its unity, security and independence. He stressed that he will spare no efforts to take action in order to serve the two friendly countries in various fields.
