Germany Welcomes Muscat’s Agreement on Yemen

The Yemeni national delegation met, in the Omani capital of Muscat today, the German ambassador to Yemen, Andreas Kindle, to discuss the latest political, security and humanitarian developments in Yemen.

At the meeting, the German ambassador expressed his appreciation of Muscat’s declaration with respect to the key principles that will allow the return of consultations, which is an important political step representing the progress towards peace and proves the willingness of the Yemeni delegation dealing with the situation and the positive interaction with the international community.

The ambassador also wished to activate the humanitarian work during this stage and to overcome the difficulties facing the work of humanitarian organizations, wondering what has been stated in the Human Rights Watch report regarding the issue of prisoners and captives and making sure to listen to the full explanation.

The ambassador stressed that Germany supports the rapid peace and the return to the negotiating table to come up with solutions and address the urgent humanitarian and economic situation.
