Agriculture Minister Calls Int’l Organizations to Help Farmers

Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation, Ghazi Mohsen, called on Monday international organizations and donor countries to assist farmers who have been affected by the Saudi aggression’s war.
In a press statement, the minister said that the ministry has begun to implement programs and emergency interventions to ease the suffering of farmers and rural families in the light of a bad economic situation in the country.
Ghazi noted the role of the United Nations and World Food Programme (FAO)’s Organizations in Yemen and their support for the ministry’s efforts; its needs to ease the suffering of citizens, and the implementation of immunization to livestock and providing vaccines.
He stressed that the economic and food situation in Yemen needs more solidarity and a coordination by all concerned parties to provide food security, especially in rural areas.
