FM Meets Russian Chargé D’affaires

Minister of Foreign Affairs Hisham Sharaf met on Tuesday the Chargé d’affaires of the Russian Embassy, Andrei Chernfall.

During the meeting, they discussed the results of the visit of the UN Special Envoy for Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed.

Sharaf appreciated the positive role played by Russia for the sake of lifting the siege imposed on Yemen in order to achieve a peaceful political settlement.

On the other hand, the Russian diplomat stressed the need to lift the restrictions imposed on the international airport of Sana’a immediately to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Yemen.
