FM Meets Newly-Appointed UN Official in Yemen

Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf Abdullah met on Sunday with newly-appointed Resident Representative of UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Al-Obaid Ahmed Al-Obaid in the capital of Sana’a.

At the meeting, the UN official presented his credentials to minister Sharaf.

The minister briefed the UN official list of war crimes committed against the Yemeni people by the Saudi American aggression since March 26 of 2015.

The minister denied reports circulated by the aggression’s media about recruiting children, reaffirming that the Yemeni national salvation government is committed to international laws and that Yemen is full of men who are responsible to defend the nation.

The minister strongly rejected and condemned using civilians as human shields by Saudi aggression forces.

The minister invited UN officials and humanitarian agencies to visit Yemen and closely inspect the US-backed Saudi war crimes against Yemeni civilians.
