Prime Minister Abdul Aziz bin Habtoor met with exclusive director of the UN World Food Programme (WFP), Ertharin Cousin, who has visited Yemen.
At the meeting held on Sunday, the officials discussed the cooperation and partnership relations between Yemen and WFP to reduce the escalation of the acute food crisis the Yemeni people are suffering from because of the imposed blockade by the Saudi American aggression.
The meeting discussed the role of the UN and international humanitarian organizations to let the whole world know about Yemen’s humanitarian suffering, and exert pressures on the Saudi-led coalition to stop its aggression and lift the siege.
On the other hand, the UN official said that Yemen is about to face famine based on the last survey conducted by the WFP, and that millions of Yemenis are in urgent need of essential food.
